The Wild Rose School Division (WRSD) has seen an increase in students this year.

Brad Volkman, Superintendent of the WRSD says, ” We ended up with approximately 11 more students more than we had on September 30, 2022, which equates to 40 students more than we had projected for the 2023-24 school year.”

Volkman shared there was no major decline in students for the 2023-24 school year.

He added, the WRSD has added some additional staffing to a few schools where numbers were higher than expected. Volkman says, “It will give us a small increase in funding for the 2024-25 school year.”
