Today (Oct. 27) is the last day to apply for the Local Artist Call.
Clearwater County is looking for local art contributions for their Nordegg & Area Species Identifier project. Artists of all ages are invited to participate.
Are you passionate about capturing the beauty of our local ecosystem? Do you enjoy bringing to life the intricate details of plants, birds, insects, fish, amphibians, and small mammals that make our region so special?
Here are the specifications for your artwork:
- Realism, not abstract art.
- Each artwork should feature one subject in vibrant color on a pristine white background.
- Acceptable media: watercolor, pencil, acrylic, ink, or photography.
- Artwork size should not exceed 8.5″ x 8.5″.
- Each artist may submit up to five subjects.

To participate, drop off your stunning creations at the Clearwater County Administration Building, along with a contact sheet for each artwork.
County officials say they can’t wait to see your incredible artwork and share it with the community. Join them showcasing the rich tapestry of Nordegg’s natural wonders through the eyes of talented local artists.
