The Rocky Kinsmen Club and West Country Kennette’s have a jam-packed week of holiday events called Christmas with Kin, kicking off November 20.
After three long years the Father and Daughter Dinner is returning on Monday Nov. 20, at Restaurant 19 located at Pine Hills Golf Club. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. with dinner beginning at 6:00 p.m.. The cost is $25 for adults and $15 for kids, tickets can be purchased at The Brick.
Following the Father and Daughter Dinner, on Tuesday Nov. 21, is the Mother and Son Dinner at Restaurant 19. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. with dinner beginning at 6:00 p.m.. The cost is $25 for adults and $15 for kids, tickets can be purchased at The Brick.
On Nov. 23, Christmas with Kin is bringing back Burgers and Beers for its second year from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Lou Soppit Community Centre. Kids 10 and under are $5, adults are $10, tickets are available at the Rocky A&W as well as The Brick. Included in the ticket is a burger, rootbeer and dessert. There will also be sleigh rides, as well as the $5 Christmas Store.
Also, back for the first time since 2019, Christmas with Kin presents Seniors Luncheons on Nov. 23 and Nov. 24. The Senior Luncheon will be held at the Lou Soppit Community Centre from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.. Lunch will include soup, sandwiches, and sweet treats, there will also be live entertainment. Tickets are $10 and being sold at ATB Financial, The Brick and West Country Family Services.
Meanwhile Christmas with Kins Free Movie Marathon is returning this year at Rocky Cinemas. Kicking things off at 9:00 a.m. will be The Grinch, then at 11:30 a.m., Rocky Cinemas will be playing, The Nightmare Before Christmas. At 2:00 p.m., Elf will hit the screen and wrapping it up at 11:30 p.m., will be Christmas Vacation.
One of the final events is Christmas with Kin is PJ’s and Pancakes with Santa on Saturday, Nov. 25. PJ’s and Pancakes runs from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Lou Soppit Community Centre. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. Tickets for this event are available at The Brick and the Evergreen Co-op Service Desk. On the menu is pancakes, sausage, juice, and coffee. Pictures with Santa, sleigh rides and the $5 Christmas Store will also be there.
Wrapping up Christmas with Kin is the popular Parade of Lights. The Parade of Lights will begin on Poplar Boulevard at 7:00 p.m. and head down 60 Street before turning onto 52 Ave and then finishing up on 50 Street.
