Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has released data on notable snowfall amounts seen throughout many parts of Alberta over the weekend, including the Rocky Mountain House area.
Officials say heavy snow fell over parts of Alberta Saturday night. Officials say lighter snow continued Sunday as cooler Artic air continued to push southward.
The Nordegg area received the most with 9cm, then the Rocky Mountain House area which received 8cm, with another 5cm of snow recorded just east of Sundre.
Other noteable areas include:
- Pekisko – 17cm
- Pincher Creek Climate – 17cm
- Waterton Park Gate – 16cm
- Lethbridge – 9cm
- Calgary Int’l Airport – 5cm
