The Alberta Health Services (AHS) Screen Test program is coming to Rocky Mountain House.
Officials say they are coming to provide screening mammograms to eligible individuals aged 45-74.
A mammogram is described as an X-ray of the breast. According to AHS, screening mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early, when treatment may work better. Health officials say getting screened for breast cancer saves lives.
A mobile mammography trailer will be at the Rocky Mountain House Health Centre, 5016 52 Ave. (Hospital), on Feb. 22-24, 26-29, Mar. 1-2 and 4-5.
Appointments are required and can be booked by calling 1-800-667-0604. More information about breast cancer screening and who is eligible can be found here.

AHS says Screen Test is improving access to cancer screening for thousands of individuals in Alberta communities where mammograms are not readily available.
