The Town of Rocky Mountain House has released the names of candidates running in the up-coming by-election.

The by-election comes as former councillor Shane Boniface handed in his resignation, and was no longer a councillor as of Nov. 7, 2023.

According to the Town’s website, the list of candidates are as follows:

• Sarah Fotty
• Stella Herron
• Anna-Marie Loomis
• Ken Moesker
• Glen Waskewitch

The first advanced voting day will be held on Feb. 8, from 4:00-8:00 p.m., followed by another advanced voting day being held on Feb. 24, 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Election day will be held on Feb. 26, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.. All voting will take place in the Subway Room at the Rocky Regional Recreation Centre (5332-50 St. Rocky Mountain House).
