More temperature records were broken throughout the province on Thursday.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), the Sundre area set a new record high for Feb. 1, with the temperature reaching 12.6 degrees Celsius, beating the old record of 9.9 degrees Celsius set in 2020. Records in the Sundre area have been kept since 1993.
The Nordegg area also set a new daily high temperature for Feb. 1, with a new record of 13.4 degrees Celsius, beating the old record of 12.2 degrees Celsius, set in 1935. Records in the Nordegg area have been kept 1915.
