The Rocky Rams are set for their first two playoff games this weekend.
The Rams finished the regular season with a 18-17-3 record which placed them in third place in the Heritage Junior Hockey League’s Northern Division. However, the Rams will have a tough opponent in the Mountainview Colts. The Colts finished their regular season with a 17-15-6 record placing them in second place in the Northern Division, finishing just one point ahead of the Rams.
During the regular season these teams met six times, and it would be the Colts winning four of six, while outscoring the Rams 27-20. However, five of six of those games were decided by just one goal and the other game was a 4-0 win for the Colts.
Game one of the best of five series kicks off on Feb. 24, when the Rams travel to Mountainview. Puck drop for game one is at 8:00 p.m. at the Didsbury Memorial Complex Arena. Meanwhile, game two is back at the Rocky Arena on Feb. 25. Puck drop for the Rams first home playoff game of the series is at 6:15 p.m.
