Both Sundre and Nordegg saw record breaking high temperatures for March 17.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), the Sundre area recorded a temperature of 18.1 degrees Celsius beating the previous record of 17.1 degrees Celsius set in 2007. Records in the Sundre area have been kept since 1993.
The Nordegg area also set a new daily high temperature for March 17, with a new record of 19.3 degrees Celsius, beating the old record of 13.3 degrees Celsius, set in 1947. Records in the Nordegg area have been kept 1915.
