The Town of Rocky Mountain House has put out the call for volunteers to sign up for it’s new Ambassador Program.
The program would see volunteers representing the community within the town of Rocky Mountain House as well as in areas throughout central Alberta.
Laura Button, communications coordinator with the Town of Rocky Mountain House says volunteers would be sent out to many fun events throughout the summer.
“They’re looking for people who love the town of Rocky Mountain House, love talking about the town,” says Button. “Promoting the town of Rocky Mountain House either in town at community events or attending parades and community events across central Alberta.”
Button adds that while the positions are volunteer, successful applicants would be provided with branded attire and reimbursement for certain other expenses such as travel.
The Ambassador Program, which is a new initiative to the town, was approved by town council on March 21, 2024.
Button says that while the summer season is the focus for the program, if it is deemed successful, the Town may look at extending it.
