This weekend, Northern Crossing Music and Drama Society is set to kick off it’s 2024 Spring Musical, Grease at the Lou Soppit Community Centre.
Director Mikayla Ahlstrom says the cast is full of young actors from the Rocky Mountain House region.
“This young cast is bringing a new energy to the show that’s never been seen before,” says Ahlstrom.
Based on the 1978 film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, Ahlstrom says audiences are invited to sit back and revel in the fun and nostalgia.
“It’s more than just a musical,” says Ahlstrom. “It’s electrifying nostalgia, a celebration of youth and a true testament to the power of love.”
Ahlstrom assures everyone that all the familiar classics like ‘Summer Nights’, ‘You’re The One That I Want’ and ‘Greased Lightnin” will be part of the show.
Doors open at 7 p.m. on April 26 and April 27, with a Sunday matinee on April 28 at the Lou Soppit Community Centre. Another run of shows is scheduled for May 3, 4 and 5.
Tickets are available at the Rocky Public Library or by clicking here.
