Officials with Clearwater County say at least 18 cleanup crews from around the region will be out and about on May 11 for the County’s annual Roadside Cleanup.
Amanda Soppit, community & recreation coordinator with Clearwater County, says crews will be cleaning up paved roads maintained and improved by the county such as Oras, Taimi, Arbutus, Prairie Creek, Everdell & Angle Roads.
Soppit adds there are 45 sections of road that are part of the cleanup, all of which have been spoken for.
“All of our sections have been picked,” says Soppit. “We do like to give cleanups to the youth first, because it is a fundraiser for their organization- whether that’s grad, sports, or youth groups.”
Soppit says drivers are advised to exercise caution and be on the lookout for signs and cleanup crews wearing high-visibility safety vests.
The cleanup is scheduled Saturday, May 11 from 7:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.
