The Nordegg area has set a temperature record for July 9, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC).
ECCC data shows the area set a new record high of 32.4 degrees Celsius, beating the old record of 30.7 degrees Celsius set in 2015. Records in this area have been kept since 1915.
