The local real estate market remained steady in July, continuing a trend throughout 2024 which has seen a steady drumbeat of home sales in the West Country region.
That’s according to the latest Market Update from Central Alberta Realtors Association which shows 18 units sold last month in Rocky Mountain House, down from 19 units sold in June, but up from 16 units sold in July 2023.
Year-to-date numbers show 83 units sold in Rocky Mountain House so far in 2024, down from 92 units sold during the first seven months of last year.
The average sale price in Rocky Mountain House last month was $327,231, virtually unchanged from June and up slightly from $323,563 in July 2023.
Meantime, the average number of days to sell a home in Rocky Mountain House in July was 80, up from 54 days in June, and similar to the 81 days in July of last year.
In Clearwater County, there were 27 units sold last month, down slightly from 31 sold in June, and comparable with the same month last year.
Year-to-date numbers show 144 units sold in Clearwater County so far this year, similar to the 148 units sold to the end of July last year.
The average sale price in Clearwater County in July was $381,117, down from $402,431 in June, and down from $417,819 in July 2023.
The average number of days to sell a home in Clearwater County last month was 65 days, up slightly from 62 days in June, and down from 78 days during the same month last year.
The most up-to-date data shows a total of 545 units were sold in the entire central Alberta market in July. Year-to-date numbers show 2,870 units were sold by the end of June 2024.
