Upcoming '1799 Gala' announces location change

Organizers for this weekend’s 1799 Gala have announced it will now be held at the Lou Soppit Community Centre (4733 54 Ave.) in Rocky Mountain House.

The Aug. 24 event was originally scheduled to take place at Rocky Mountain House National Historic Site.

Organizer Melissa Reis describes it as a beautiful gala that celebrates the Rocky Mountain House community, and everything that’s happened in the region in the past 225 years.

Doors open a 6 p.m.
