West Country residents are asked to keep their eyes peeled as the Charity Check Stop returns Nov. 27 and 28.
First up, the check stop will be along Highway 11 in Rocky Mountain House on Nov. 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Next, the check stop will be stopping traffic for a good cause Nov. 28 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Caroline along Highway 54.
Emergency service personnel will be stopping vehicles to encourage residents to embrace the spirit of giving during the Christmas season.
Along with cash donations of any amount, crews will also be accepting non-perishable food items to support local food banks.
Donations can also be brought to three West Country locations at any time ahead of Christmas:
- Rocky Mountain House town office (5116 50 Ave. Rocky Mountain House)
- Village of Caroline office (5004 50 Ave. Caroline)
- Clearwater County admin. office (4340 47 Ave. Rocky Mountain House)
