The Rocky Chamber of Commerce has announced it has tracked over $3.7 million in local spending as its 2024 Passport to Christmas Campaign has just wrapped up.
That number is an increase of around 20 per cent over 2023, says Michelle Meatheringham, executive director of the Rocky Chamber. As well, it’s around twice the total compared to the inaugural year in 2018.
Participants were invited pick up a passport at local businesses to be filled out for a chance to win prizes by shopping local.
As heard Dec. 23 on 94.5 Rewind Radio, the grand prize winners were announced:
Third prize: $250 Chamber bucks to Terry S
Second Prize: $500 in Chamber bucks to Hilda V
First prize: $1000 in Chamber bucks to Joanne D
Meatheringham says winners were “over the moon” to hear the news. Additionally, she says Terry S has donated his $250 Chamber bucks win to the Lord’s Food Bank.
