The Town of Rocky Mountain House is gearing up for spring and summer with a new, comprehensive guide to recreation opportunities for the spring and summer seasons.
The guide outlines activities at the Rocky Regional Recreation Facility, The Credit Union Co-op Aquatic Centre, Co-operative Park, Helen Hunley Memorial Park, Off-Leash Dog Park, Kennedy Courts, and the newly-named Edward Jones Community Courts.
As well, outdoor opportunities on Rocky’s 14 km network of trails, and 17 parks and playgrounds.
The guide also includes information on the town’s new Recreation Facility Access Program (RFAP), which would see eligible families get a 50 per cent discount on rec memberships, among other assistance.

Marketplace on Main is also set to return once again this summer, happening on Thursday evenings from June 26 to August 28.
The town’s new Community Events Committee also has a number of events in the works, including Canada Day Celebrations on July 1, Alberta Day on September 1, and the Christmas Tree Light-Up in November.
The guide comes out as a number of fledgling projects are happening around town, including a proposed 18-hole disc golf course and a new bike track near West Central.
Print copies will be available starting March 6 at the Rec Centre guest services desk. You can view the entire guide here.
