A record warm spell continued throughout the province on Thursday, breaking a daily high record in the Sundre area.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), the Sundre area set a new record high for Feb. 27, with the temperature reaching 13.1 degrees Celsius, beating the old record of 10.6 degrees Celsius set in 2006. Records have been kept in the area since 1993.
Southern Alberta saw a particularly warm spell with double digit highs breaking records in Milk River, Bow Island, Brooks, Drumheller and Waterton.
