Wintry weather returns to Alberta this week, particularly here in the West Country.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), snowfall amounts of 5 to 20 cm are forecast by Friday morning across central Alberta
The ECCC weather statement is in effect for Rocky Mountain House, Crimson Lake, Leslieville and Nordegg, with areas closer to the mountains receiving up to 25 cm.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate. ECCC says to be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
Given the warm temperatures to start the week and uncertainty in how fast the snow will fall, ECCC says confidence in total snowfall accumulations is moderate.
