Clearwater County is inviting residents to apply for its Heritage Grant, with the second-round application deadline set for June 16.
The Clearwater County Heritage Grant (CCHG) provides up to $5,000 annually to support community-led projects that interpret, recognize or celebrate the region’s heritage.
The funding can be used for nearly anything that enhances public appreciation for local history through initiatives such as interpretive signage, maps, historic markers, festivals, reenactments, and more.
Projects must take place within Clearwater County and demonstrate community involvement, meet a community need, and should have broad accessibility for visitors. Proposals are evaluated by the Clearwater County Heritage Grant Advisory Committee (CCHGAC), with priority given to one-time projects that benefit the community and mark milestones.
Applicants must be based in Clearwater County and are required to submit a complete hard copy application package.
If awarded funding, successful applicants will be required to submit a final project report. Notifications for the second grant intake will be sent out by July 31.
