The Nordegg Discovery Centre invites the community to its 3rd Annual BBQ on Saturday, June 28, from noon until around 3:00 p.m. at the centre (4002 Stuart Street).
Organizers say this family-friendly event promises free food, live music, games, and fun for all ages.
Attendees can enjoy a free barbecue, live performance by local artist Amber Williams, and activities including face painting, fun games like potato sack races, bean bag toss, and egg-and-spoon races.
Kids can win prizes, and door prizes will be awarded throughout the event.
Organizer Whitney Wedman says a highlight of the afternoon will be a water balloon fight at 2:00 p.m.
She adds, the event runs until the food is gone or cleanup begins around 3:00 p.m.
