Work on a pair of big ticket capital projects is set to wrap up in July.
First up, asphalt milling is complete on a stretch of 47 Avenue downtown from Hwy 11 to 50 Street. The road is slated to receive fresh pavement and sidewalk upgrades before the end of the month.
The cost for the project is $350,000.
Elsewhere, a major watermain replacement project at the intersection of Hwy 11A and 60 Street is nearly complete.
A new watermain pipe was successfully installed underground with site remediation work continuing as of July 17.
The work comes after multiple breaks and ongoing issues were identified with the old line, which serves as a junction for underground utilities in the area.
Town officials say spot repairs had become increasingly disruptive and costly. The project replaced the failing infrastructure using directional drilling.
The cost for the project is $800,000.
