It was a banner year for Marketplace on Main Rocky Mountain House, as the weekly summer market on Main St. is set to wrap up for the season Aug. 28.

While the average evening in 2025 saw between 70-80 vendors, organizers say a whopping 95 vendors are scheduled to line Main St. on Aug. 28

Laura Button, communications coordinator with the town, says all vendors at this year’s market were great to deal with. And despite the rainy weather, not one market had to be cancelled due to weather.

“We’re having vendors come from places like Calgary and Vegreville,” says Button. “The word out on the market circuit is that this is a profitable and pleasant market to set up shop at.”

She adds, the weekly entertainment has been taken to the next level this year. Along with usual musical entertainment from Uke’in In The Rockies, special groups like Rocky Whirlaways square dancing, and Rocky Rush cheerleading held demonstrations.
