The town of Rocky Mountain House has launched a new promotional video highlighting the very best of what the West Country has to offer.
The video’s highlights include the Rocky Rodeo, bike trails, Parade of Lights, Marketplace on Main, cultural celebrations, and Rocky Jr. Rebels football, among others.
The production, which lasts nearly three minutes, made its debut on the big screen during recent Alberta Day celebrations, says Tiffany Robinson, communications officer with the Town of Rocky Mountain House.
“With the evening outdoor movie presentation [the Community Events Committee] asked for a quick video promoting Rocky Mountain House,” she explains. “We looked at putting something together using town resources, and that’s what we came up with.”
She adds, photographs and video footage were pieced together from content gathered from several different regional partners which the town has worked with.
In a social media post, the partners were listed as Travel Alberta, Sherpas Cinema, David Thompson Country and Discover Rocky.
Robinson says the video will serve as a promotional tool for the economic development department, making appearances on screens at community events, trade shows, conventions and more.
“We hope that residents are familiar with Community Events Committee that have been put on in the last year,” says Robinson. “The intention of this video was to feature some of the amazing things that happen in our community all year long.”
