This year’s Smile Cookie campaign at Tim Hortons raised an impressive $24,907.94 for the Rocky Health Foundation.
The funds, collected through the annual fundraiser in April, will go directly toward purchasing vital hospital equipment, benefitting residents of Rocky Mountain House and Clearwater County.
“Your generosity means more than words can say,” said foundation coordinator Angie Breault. “You’ve helped fund vital hospital equipment that will benefit family, friends and neighbours in our community.”
The campaign was supported by local Tim Hortons owners—the Graham and Doucette families—and their staff, along with volunteers who decorated thousands of cookies throughout the campaign.
Notably, this donation puts the foundation over the top for its latest fundraising campaign, “Heart of the Community”.
“We are getting to where we are wrapping up our Heart of the Community Campaign,” says Shirley Hope, chair of the Rocky Health Foundation. “This latest donation certainly helps to do that.”
The campaign, which kicked off in Nov. 2024, worked to raise $444,000 for new cardiac monitors at the Rocky Mountain House Health Centre.
Hope adds, hospital equipment has arrived, will be installed by the end of October, and online by mid-November.
Shirley Hope says the Heart of the Community campaign has reached its goal
The equipment is expected to improve emergency response and enhance patient care across the hospital.

The Rocky Health Foundation was once again selected as the Smile Cookie charity partner by local Tim Hortons owners following a record-breaking 2024 campaign that raised over $25,000 for the town’s new operating room.
