The Rocky Rams are 5-8-1 on the season after a two-game Halloween weekend split at the Rocky Arena Complex.
Oct. 31 vs. Ponoka Stampeders
The Rocky Rams skated to a dominating 9-1 home ice victory against the Ponoka Stampeders.
Head coach Cody McLellan says it was a whole team effort with all four lines contributing.
Ty Hanson and Ty Gyori scored a pair in the winning effort. Teegan Mudryk scoring a hat trick.
Nov. 1 vs. Sylvan Lake Wranglers
The team kicked off a new month against defending HJHL champions Sylvan Lake Wranglers.
Despite starting off the game on the right foot, the Rams allowed two powerplay goal en route to a 3-1 loss.
“Our first period was very good — we started the way we need to play,” says McLellan. “The second and the third, we just kind of backed off — we need to find a way to play 60 minutes instead of 20.”
Former Wrangler Ty Gyori got the lone marker for the Rams.
Next up: Nov. 7 @ Ponoka Stampeders and Nov. 8 @ Mountain View Colts
McLellan says the team’s focus this week will be taking a high level of compete to a full 60 minutes.
