Snow has been cleared from main routes in Rocky Mountain House, and crews will begin removing snow from residential streets starting Jan. 12.
Crews will post signs 12 to 24 hours before clearing begins and are asking residents to remove vehicles to allow the work to proceed.
Residential snow clearing will begin on streets north of Pioneer Middle School and will take place between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Rocky Mountain House has 56 kilometres of paved roads, not including graveled or dust-controlled areas. The town also maintains 25 kilometres of graveled or paved alleys and 17 kilometres of walking trails.
The town’s fleet of snow removal equipment includes one grader, one loader with snow blower, three dump trucks, one skid steer, two Kubotas with snow blades and one plow truck.
