Crews with the Town of Rocky Mountain House are responding to a watermain break along Highway 752 in the Old Town area.

The break, located just south of the railway crossing, has resulted in several traffic detours in the area.

Drivers are being rerouted through the Creekside neighbourhood, where officials are reminding motorists the speed limit is 40 km/h.

Crews remain on scene and hope to complete repairs by the end of the day.

Town communications co-ordinator Laura Button says, if repairs go as planned, normal traffic flow should resume in time for Wednesday morning’s commute.
