Organizers are expecting “maximum capacity” as the sold-out Rocky Oilmen’s Golf Tournament returns June 5 for its 58th year at Pine Hills Golf Club.
Around 240 participants will play all 18 holes at Pine Hills throughout the day in the tournament, which supports the Rocky Oilmen’s four high school scholarships for students entering careers in energy and skilled trades.
Thanks to tremendous support in 2026, Rocky Oilmen’s president Len Doroshuk Jr. announced the scholarships will increase this year for the first time ever — from $750 to $1,000.
Throughout its 58-year history, Doroshuk Jr. said the tournament has often been a barometer for the condition of the oil and gas industry.
“I think there’s a lot of optimism around construction, trades, and the oil and gas sector,” he said. “The future is looking bright around resource development, local jobs, and community initiatives.”
Even so, Doroshuk Jr. said the organization has made efforts over the last 10 years to make the tournament more community-based to level out the ebbs and flows of the oil and gas sector.

Doroshuk Jr. extended gratitude to Pine Hills for once again hosting the tournament, adding that the golf course has been a great partner throughout the tournament’s decades-long history.
“Putting these events on is a lot of work, but it pays off in the end when we can give back to the community, recognize industry, and host a positive fundraiser.”
The first tee time is set for 9 a.m. Friday, with volunteers set up in tents throughout the course supporting the event.
Once again, the ever-popular long-drive competition is making its return to the course, along with a 58-yard shootout to celebrate the 58th year of the event.
The Rocky Oilmen’s Association has been a staple of the community since 1966 and has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to local causes over the decades.
