The North Saskatchewan River near Rocky Mountain House is running higher than normal.
The Alberta River Forecast Centre has issued a high streamflow advisory for the river, with flow rates increasing about 45 per cent over the past week. Data shows the river rose from 197 cubic metres per second on May 25 to 285 cubic metres per second on June 1.
The normal flow rate is listed at 218 cubic metres per second.

The streamflow advisory says water levels may rise approximately 1-2 meters, though no river related flooding is expected at this time.
One river in the Rockies is currently under flood watch: Pipestone River near Lake Louise.

Residents are advised to check Alberta 511 for road conditions. Officials say water will pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Residents are advised not to drive through flooded roadways and to watch for washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
