Crews in Clearwater County will soon begin the repair and maintenance of local gravel roads, following recent heavy rains.
Officials say the heavy rainfalls have significantly impacted gravel roads throughout Clearwater County, so motorists can expect soft, muddy surfaces, reduced traction, and challenging driving conditions.
The county says crews will begin repairs and maintenance as soon as conditions improve and equipment can safely access affected areas.
In the meantime, drivers are reminded to be alert for unexpected road hazards, including washouts, standing water, and soft road surfaces.
Current road closures:
– Northfork Road – Due to significant shoulder failure, the Northfork Road at KM 65 will be closed for repairs July 6-31.
