Home sales in Rocky Mountain House remained sluggish during the first six months of 2026.
According to the latest Market Update from the Central Alberta Realtors Association, 51 homes sold during the first half of the year. For comparison, that’s down 33 per cent from the same period in 2023, when 76 homes sold.
The average sale price dipped to just under $347,000 in June, down from $388,138 in May.
Despite the slower pace, June sales were higher than a year earlier. Fifteen homes sold in Rocky Mountain House in June, compared with 12 in June 2025.
Homes spent an average of 27 days on the market in June, up slightly from 25 days in May.
Clearwater County prices remain strong
In Clearwater County, home prices continued to outperform last year’s levels.
The average sale price was $488,516 in June. While that was down slightly from about $515,000 in May, it was up from $442,304 seen in June 2025. For comparison, the June 2026 average sale price is up 44 per cent from roughly $340,000 in June 2023.
During the first six months of the year, 103 homes sold in Clearwater County, compared with 130 during the same period in 2025.
Homes spent an average of 38 days on the market in June, compared with 31 days in May and 67 days in June 2025.
Across central Alberta, 548 homes sold in June, up from 506 in May but down from 564 in June 2025.
Year-to-date sales across the region totalled 2,485 units, down from 2,731 during the first six months of 2025.
