The town of Rocky Mountain House is inviting residents to share their views on local housing through a new Housing Needs Assessment survey.
The assessment will help inform recommendations aimed at supporting a more diverse, affordable and suitable housing supply in the community.
The online survey is open until the end of summer and asks residents to share their own lived experiences, challenges and ideas related to local housing.
Participants are asked about the challenges of finding and affording suitable housing, which groups — including seniors, low-income families, newcomers and first-time homebuyers — face the greatest housing needs, and what they believe is the leading cause of homelessness in the community.

The feedback will help council better understand the community’s current housing supply, identify gaps and plan for future housing needs.
The survey is open until Aug. 20. Participants who complete it will be entered into a draw to win one of four $25 gift cards to local businesses.
