Home sales in Rocky Mountain House picked up steam in July as 16 units changed hands. That’s up from 15 in June and 13 in July of last year.
That’s according to the the latest Market Update from the Central Alberta Realtors Association.
So far in 2026, Rocky Mountain House has recorded 67 home sales, compared with 70 during the same period in 2025 and 83 in 2024.
Sale prices remained steady at $326,406, down from $346,927 in June and $329,985 in July 2025.
Homes spent an average of 43 days on the market in July, up from 27 days in June and roughly on par with the 44 day average recorded in July 2025.
Clearwater County
In Clearwater County, 133 homes sold during the first seven months of the year. That’s down from the 2025 pace when 162 units sold by the end of July 2025.
For July 2026, 30 homes sold in Clearwater County. That’s up from 25 homes sold in June, and down from 32 homes sold in July 2025.
The average sale price climbed sharply to $471,690 in July, down from $488,516 in June and up from $431,381 in July 2025.
Homes spent an average of 46 days on the market in July, down from 38 days in June and slightly higher than the 45-day average recorded in June 2025.
Across central Alberta, 487 homes sold in July, down from 548 in June and down from 597 in July 2025.
Year-to-date sales across the region totalled 2,972 units, down 10 per cent from 3,328 during the first seven months of 2025.
