After a relatively strong start in 2025, home sales in Rocky Mountain House have slowed slightly as summer begins.
That’s according to the latest Market Update from Central Alberta Realtors Association, which shows a total of 12 units sold in June, up slightly from 10 in May, but down from 19 sold in June 2024.
For the first half of the year, home sales numbers have been steadily trending down over the last several years. In 2022, 112 units sold in the first six months, 76 in 2023, 65 in 2024, and 57 in 2025.
The average sale price in Rocky Mountain House last month was $330,392, up from $291,690 in May, and $327,068 in June 2024.
Meantime, the average number of days to sell a home in Rocky Mountain House in June was 37, up from a 26 day average in May, but down from 54 days in June of last year.
In Clearwater County, meantime, numbers shows 27 units sold in June, down from 31 units sold in May, and 31 sold in June of 2024.
The average sale price in Clearwater County in June was $442,304, down from $511,542 in May, and up from $402,431 in June 2024.
The average number of days to sell a home in Clearwater County last month was 67 days, up from 42 days in May, and up slightly from 62 days in June 2024.
In the entire central Alberta region, there were 564 units sold in June, down from 641 units in May, and down slightly from 572 units sold in June of 2024.
Year-to-date numbers show 2,731 units sold in central Alberta during the first six months of this year, down from 2,870 units sold to this point last year.
The average sale price throughout the central Alberta region last month was $451,096, while the average number of days to sell a home was 45.
