A Rocky Mountain House organization that provides health care related services to the Clearwater County region is holding its Annual General Meeting on June 20.
Organizers say the public is welcome to attend, especially if you’re interested in becoming a volunteer driver.
“They’re welcome to speak with me or the Board of Directors who are present in terms of what that would entail,” says Marina Kulich, Executive Director with West Country Family Services Association.
The organization is still looking for volunteer drivers to bring local residents to non-emergent health care appointments, says Kulich, who acknowledges it can be a tricky volunteer position, as the drop off times are often during working hours.

Organizers say the event will include typical AGM items such as reviewing the annual financial report, acknowledging supporters and stakeholders, electing board of directors and releasing some new organization statistics.
Kulich says new statistics show it has been a busy year for West Country Family Services Association.
Overall 133,000 hours in total were delivered to the community through various programs, says Kulich, such as non emergent transportation, Meals on Wheels, home support work, lifeline activation, and social support among other services.

Kulich says the organization’s work in the community doesn’t go unnoticed as she’s had conversations with stakeholders such as the Town, County and the Minister of Seniors, Community and Social Services.
For more information, or to become a volunteer driver, you can call WCFSA at 403-845-2033.
The event starts at 6 p.m. on Thursday June 20 at the Royal Canadian Legion (4911 49 St, Rocky Mountain House).
