Paramount Resources has donated $50,000 to the Rocky Health Foundation which will go toward fulfilling needs in the hospital’s operating room.

The donation is the third installment in a $300,000 commitment announced by Paramount in 2024. The initial installment of $100,000 was followed by $50,000 in 2025 and 2026. The final two installments are expected in 2027 and 2028.

While the Paramount donations are allocated to the OR at the Rocky Mountain House Health Centre, Rocky Health Foundation chair Shirley Hope says volunteers are busy raising funds for beds and stretchers.

Launched in 2025, Hope says the $585,000 Your Rest Assured campaign is around 80 per cent complete, with some equipment from the fundraiser already in commission at the hospital and more on the way.

Hope says the volunteer-run foundation is grateful once again for tremendous community support. “We expected Your Rest Assured to take two years; but once again, the community just shines.”
